Sydney Roosters NRL star Shaun Kenny-Dowall has denied using cocaine in a letter written to the NRL Integrity Unit.
The 29-year-old player was searched at the Ivy nightclub in the early hours of last Friday morning with police officers allegedly finding .46 grams of the drug in a small resealable bag.
“My client has been subjected to many random tests in his substantial playing career. He has never broken the rules in this area of chemicals or prohibited substances," Kenny-Dowall's lawyer Chris Murphy told the Daily Telegraph.
"My client invites the NRL to arrange any test immediately they desire to establish the state of any drugs that may be in an illegal drug user’s system."
The Kiwi national was last year acquitted of domestic violence involving his then girlfriend who alleged he headbutted her, pushed her and put her in a headlock.
