Newcastle have announced the signing of veteran forward Anthony Tupou on a one-year contract.
With 234 games of NRL experience, Tupou joins Kinights effective immediately.
Most recently having played for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the English Super League, 33-year-old Tupou was born in Newcastle.

“We’re very pleased to bring Anthony to the Club ahead of the 2017 season,” coach Nathan Brown said of the signing.
“He has a wealth of experience in this competition and will be able to assist in the development of our younger forwards.”
Tupou is able to play at prop or in the back row, and has made 11 appearances for Australia and four for New South Wales.
