Former Test cricketer Stuart MacGill has been hit with a provisional AVO in relation to his partner, Julie Singleton.
The order prohibits MacGill from approaching or contacting Ms Singleton unless through a lawyer and was lodged with a Sydney court on Boxing Day.
Waverley Local Court is expected to hear the matter on Thursday relating to an application for a continuing order.
Ms Singleton, a family law solicitor, is the former wife of Australian businessman John Singleton.
