Maguire has been appointed to led the Kiwis for the next four years.

The former Souths boss has confirmed that he will recall a number of former players such as Taumalolo.

The Cowboys forward elected to represent Tonga, not New Zealand, at last year's World Cup.

Bromwich and Proctor were banned from the World Cup after using cocaine last year.

"There will always be a place for players who have worn the jersey before," Maguire said.

"Obviously Jase has played a lot here (in New Zealand) and he's a quality player. Ultimately I want players that have full respect for the jersey.

"This was a great opportunity and I'm excited about getting to work. I want to build something special for the New Zealand people and I plan on being here full-time. I want to grow the game from the grassroots right the way through."
