Google has released its annual search numbers and Mitchell Pearce has topped the list as the most searched for Australian in 2016.
Pearce was controversially involved in a drunken Australia Day bender in which he was filmed simulating a sex act with a poodle.
He was subsequently banned for eight games and headed overseas to a health retreat to address alcohol issues.
The Roosters struggled without their star halfback and never recovered to finish the year 14th.
