With only four rounds to go, the race to make the eight is heating up, however, the minor premiership seems to be won and run and heading out west.

Round 19 kicked off in Adelaide where the Crows kept their finals hopes alive upsetting Richmond 88-52. The Crows are now only beings Geelong on percentage.

On Saturday, Collingwood also kept their slim finals hopes alive beating Carlton by 18 points, meanwhile the Western Bulldogs smashed the Power by 64 points climbing into the top four in the process above the Swans who were unable to beat Geelong at Simonds Stadium. The game marked the return of Adam Goodes who was unable to prevent the 32 point loss.

Also on Saturday the Gold Coast Suns heaped more misery on rivals Brisbane defeating the Lions by four points in tight contest. West Coast and Hawthorn rounded out Saturday night footy out west where the Hawks beat the Eagles 88-74.

On Sunday afternoon, North Melbourne cemented their place in the eight for atleast another week beating the Melbourne Demons by 35 points. GWS are still in the running to make their first ever appearance in the finals series after they were too good for Essendon winning by 32 points. Finally, the round concluded with Fremanlte all but securing the minor premiership after defeating St. Kilda 96-59 at Etihad Stadium.
