Parramatta prop Nathan Brown will be sidelined until the start of February after going under the knife.
Brown will be out of action for six to eight weeks after suffering a knee injury in training that required surgery.
The forward had his lateral meniscus removed after picking up the complaint during training.
The Eels open their 2019 NRL campaign against Penrith at Panthers Stadium on March 17.
