The Daily Telegraph reports Cronk is expected to fly to Sydney following Friday night’s match against England to formally announce he is joining the Roosters.

Parramatta and South Sydney have confirmed they will not pursue Cronk with the Bondi outfit the only club left in the race to sign him.

Pearce has played 238 games for the Roosters and helped them win the 2013 NRL Premiership.

“He’s very upset,” a close associate of Pearce told the Daily Telegraph.

“He loves the Roosters and always wanted to be a one-club player.

“Yet he feels that, for everything the club has done for him, he deserves better for a player who has been there 10 years and played nearly 240 games.”

Manly, Cronulla and the Newcastle are reportedly watching proceedings closely.

More to come.
