Leading managers Wayne Beavis, Sam Ayoub, George Mimis and Paul Sutton were the subjects of a series of police raids on Friday, however, Fairfax Media is reporting up to six more may currently be under investigation.

Should the managers be linked to breaching the cap they could face de-registration.

In response, the game’s most experienced managers are reportedly prepared to blow the whistle on other cap breaches that could derail the NRL.

The NSW Police investigation follows the Eels’ salary cap debacle which saw the club stripped of 12 competition points and fined $1 million.

“This has led us to investigate possible criminal offences including fraud and money laundering,” Det. Supt Arthur Kastogiannis of the NSW Police said.
