Port Adelaide has told players John Butcher, Kane Mitchell and Sam Colquhoun as well as assistant coach Garry Hocking their contracts will not be renewed for 2017.
It has been an inconsistent year for the Power with the club finishing 10th on the back of 10 wins and 12 losses.
The club has not made the finals since 2014.
Port Adelaide’s general manager of football Chris Davies praised the men for their contributions to the club.
“John, Kane and Sam have given great service to our club and we wish them all the best with their futures,” he said.
“Garry’s tenure at the club has been the most significant of our coaching panel. We thank him for his work since 2010 as a development, line coach and Magpies coach for two seasons.
“It’s a difficult time of year when the club needs to make decisions for its short and long term future regarding our football structure.”
Former Director of Coaching Shaun Hart has been assigned to the newly-formed position of Director of Academies, setting up and supervising Port Adelaide’s next generation academy programs.
“He’ll be drawing on his experience in the Director of Coaching role to establish elite coaching programs and identify the best coaching talent for our new academies,” Davies said.
The club has also confirmed first-year strength and conditioning coach Mladen Jovanovic has returned to Serbia for family reasons.
Meanwhile, Fremantle has delisted Irish recruit Sean Hurley.
Recruited from Kildare, the 24-year-old battled injury and did not play a senior game for Fremantle after being selected at pick 48 in the 2014 Rookie Draft.
