Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds is expected to return from a quad injury to take on Manly next Monday night in a huge boost to his struggling side.
Reynolds failed to play in last round’s 30-10 loss to Brisbane after hurting his quad in the warm-up.
His side sorely missed the NSW No.7’s guidance around the park as they struggled to make the most of their opportunities.
Reynolds missed Origin III with a shoulder injury with his round 19 absence just the latest in a number of setbacks endured by the classy half that has seen him restricted to just nine games this season.
Winger Alex Johnston said he expected Reynolds to take on the 11th- placed Sea Eagles at Allianz Stadium.
"He's been doing all the recovery, he was even getting work done while we were playing," winger Alex Johnston said.
"I'm sure he'll do everything he can to get out there."
The Rabbitohs have lost their past six straight and will likely need to win their final seven games to qualify for the finals.
