With the game in the balance midway through the second half, they were denied tries to Latrell Mitchell and Daniel Tupou.

Mitch Aubusson was ruled to have obstructed Wade Graham in the lead-up after colliding with James Maloney and planting the ball down.

Graham looked to have had enough time to stop Mitchell but the bunker denied the try.

Tupou looked to have scored in the 65th minute, only for the bunker to deem the winger had lost control of the ball.

Replays showed no separation and captain Jake Friend made his thoughts known to referee Ashley Klein who had awarded it a try before sending it upstairs for review.

Robinson bit his tongue in the post-match press conference when asked about the calls.

“Honestly, I don’t want to go into it,’’ he said.

“I’ve said enough. You guys be the judge of that.

“There’s not much point going into it.

“We lost a game. We conceded 32 points.’’

The Roosters did well to hold out Cronulla in the first half after Blake Ferguson was given 10 in the bin for a professional foul.

Starting five-eighth Connor Watson was explosive, scoring a try and setting up another.

“He’s incredible every time he plays, there’s a huge amount of energy around him,’’ Robinson said.

Friend added to his coach’s sentiments.

“He brings a buzz to training and on the field. Tonight he had the defensive line guessing a bit. He was really good for us.’’
