The Gold Coast Suns have removed Rodney Eade as senior coach with just a few rounds remaining in the AFL season.
Reports suggest it is unlikely Eade will be coaching against the Brisbane Lions this weekend.
The decision was handed to him by Suns CEO Mark Evans late on Monday night.
Assistant coach Dean Solomon is expected to lead the team for the remaining three rounds.
Since joining the Suns in late 2014, Eade has guided the club to just 13 wins from 63 games.
However, the 59-year-old had to contend with severe cultural issues and a number of major injuries to his players during his tenure on the Gold Coast.
An official club confirmation is expected Tuesday afternoon.
