Maroons ace Aidan Guerra faces an uncertain future at the Roosters after being dumped from the NRL side to face the Cowboys on Sunday.
Guerra played in all three State of Origin matches for Queensland to help them claim this year’s series, but the 28-year-old has struggled for form in a Roosters outfit languishing in 15th place after just four wins in 2016.
The back-rower was well below his best in the tri-colours' 38-18 loss to Penrith on Monday giving coach Trent Robinson little choice but the wield the axe.
The Roosters are no chance of making the finals, but Robinson’s decision shows he is still holding players accountable for their performances.
