Johns made the revelations following whispers at Fox Sports HQ with the Australian and Maroons centre believed to be joining the Bondi club.

"There's a lot of talk going around rugby league circles yesterday that it's basically a done deal that Will Chambers will be at the Roosters next year," Johns said on Triple M’s Grill Team.

"Now you won't get confirmation out of the Roosters, because Nick Politis runs a very tight ship, but some people were talking last night at Fox Sports."

And after a string of signings including Tigers ace James Tedesco, Mark Geyer had some salary cap questions.

"Roosters players must play for $80, 000 each or something," Geyer said.
