The Sharks’ premiership surge has been dealt a blow with five-eighth James Maloney facing three weeks on the sidelines.
The NSW half was charged with a grade two dangerous contact on Titans centre Konrad Hurrell during Monday night’s draw on the Gold Coast.
He will miss two weeks with an early guilty plea but risks three-games out should he fight the charge at the NRL judiciary and lose.
Maloney’s unavailability comes ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster with Canberra at Cronulla.
