Australia has made major changes to its one-day squad following its game two ODI loss to Pakistan.
Test star Peter Handscomb and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis have been called up as cover for Mitchell Marsh, Chris Lynn and Mitchell Starc ahead of the third game at the WACA.
Marsh, who copped a golden duck in Australia’s six-wicket annihilation to Pakistan on Sunday, has been ruled out for the rest of the series with a shoulder injury.
Lynn has aggravated a neck injury and Starc is set to be rested.
Stoinis will take his place in the Melbourne Stars line-up for Tuesday’s Big Bash match against the Brisbane Heat before travelling to Perth to join the national team.
The Stars have already lost all-rounders Glenn Maxwell and James Faulkner to national duties.
