Warriors coach Andrew McFadden is expected to be sacked as early as tomorrow after a disappointing season.
He is set to be replaced by New Zealand national coach Stephen Kearney.
The Warriors failed to make the top eight the past two seasons with McFadden at the helm despite the big name signings of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke.
McFadden replaced Matt Elliott midway through the 2014 season but has failed to lift the team.
Kearney was axed as Parramatta coach in July 2012 and took up an assistant role at the Broncos in 2013.
Kearney is expected to resign as New Zealand coach with the Four Nations tournament to kick off next month.
The former Kiwi international played 79 games for the Warriors.
