Stan Wawrinka has beaten Novak Djokovic to claim his maiden US Open in four sets 6-7 (1-7), 6-4, 7-5, 6-3.
It was his third Grand Slam title with the 31-year-old beating Djokovic on his way to each major.
Wawrinka has won 11 tournament finals in a row.
He is the oldest US Open men’s champion since Ken Rosewall won in 1970 aged 35.
