In the fourth and final instalment of our “Heritage Sessions” video series, Parramatta Eels stalwart Peter Wynn shares with us his and his team-mates’ pride of wearing the famous blue and gold during the club’s dominance in the 1980s.
Thanks to Classic Sportswear, Inside Sport recently had the privilege of interviewing Wynn in a roundtable discussion session at Balmain’s Dry Dock Hotel in Sydney.
Wynn, who played 175 first grade club games for Parramatta between 1979 and 1990, these days runs the famous rugby league merchandise store Peter Wynn’s Score at Parramatta. He was joined in the roundtable session by Canterbury, Western Suburbs and Sydney City warhorse Paul Langmack, Canberra Raiders legend and current NSW State of Origin coach Laurie Daley, and his brother, Graeme Wynn, himself a legend among the St George Dragons’ faithful. All looked magnificent in their Classic rugby league jerseys from their playing days.
You can celebrate the history of Australia’s National Rugby League clubs, too by donning a jersey (available in many former and current NRL teams) from Classic Sportswear’s Heritage range. Simply hit-up www.classicsports.com.au to find out more.
The fun, rowdy and passionate roundtable discussion can be read in full in the current edition of Inside Sport magazine. ON SALE NOW!
