Fairholme College has a strong and proud history in swimming, part of the student’s program year-round. Our Head Coach, VP of ASCTA Tim Taylor, ensures our College program offers the best to students. Our juniors do lessons with AUSTSWIM qualified teachers and are also offered discounts in outside school hour’s program to enhance their learning opportunities. All age groups participate in water safety sessions, ensuring students learn about the danger surrounding water and prevention of drowning in aquatic environments. Football United

Football United works at 10 schools in Sydney providing free life skills workshops, coaching, mentoring and inspirational events for children and young people from diverse backgrounds, including many from humanitarian refugee or migrant backgrounds. Football United is often the first opportunity for these young people to play organised sport in Australia and provides the platform to begin their sports coaching journey. Football is usually one of the few commonalities between participants' country of origin and their new home in Australia, and is an ideal opportunity to develop one's sense of belonging.

Redlands School

[expand title="Read Why This Education Program Is Nominated" targclass="clubbies-expand" tag="h8"]

The school has a strong inclusive approach to sport with over 300 students involved in school teams. The athletics program targets growth in performance for all students with dedicated PE teachers giving students important coaching and guidance to improve. This has also resulted in regular individual and team success in the last five years. Above all, students enjoy sport.

The Junior School sports programme looks at using specialist coaches to provide the best quality of coaching to students in their skill and game sense development. Linked to this, strong connections with elite clubs such as the Sydney Swans, Sydney Kings, NSW Swifts and Sydney FC have also allowed us to promote the game by giving students the opportunities to meet and be inspired by their sporting heroes.
