West Coast Eagles vs Western Bulldogs @Domain Stadium- Friday 6:10pm

Last week both teams tasted success with the Eagles coming out on top by ten and the Bulldogs winning by five. The Eagles sit fourth with the Bulldogs fifth. Both teams have five wins from seven.

For West Coast, Josh Kennedy leads the goal scoring chart with 24 while Jake Stringer has 14 majors this season.

Why the Eagles will win:

Two words. Domain and Stadium. The Eagles have won all three of their clashes there this year by twenty-eight points a game. This combined with their numerous attacking threats of Kennedy, LeCras and Darling should see them over the line in what should be a tight affair.

Our tip: Eagles by 6

Hawthorn Hawks vs Brisbane Lions @University of Tasmania Stadium- Saturday1:45pm

Last week the Hawks escaped with a three point win over a gutsy Demons side while the Lions gave Sydney their first win of the season on a platter being as they were hammered by fifty four points. The Hawks are third last with two wins while the Lions sit last.

The Hawks have won their past eight clashes against Brisbane and should do so again.

Why the Hawks will win:

The Hawks have won their past nineteen out of twenty games at the University of Tasmania Stadium and against a struggling Lions side you can bet that they will make it 20 out of 21. The Lions are also battling a sizeable injury toll at the moment.

Our tip: Hawks by 10

Saint Kilda Saints vs Carlton Blues @Etihad Stadium- Saturday 2:10pm

Both teams head into this match on two-game winning streaks. The Saints caused a giant upset by beating the Giants by while the Blues downed the Magpies in Melbourne.

A win for the Saints would see them in the eight while a win for the Blues would a win outside of the top eight.

Why the Saints will win:

Nick Riewoldt, Tim Membrey, Josh Bruce and Jade Gresham have a massive forty-six majors between them this year. So even if one or two of them are off you can guarantee that St Kilda will still be kicking goals and scoring points.

Our tip: Saints by 16.

GWS Giants vs Collingwood Magpies@ Spotless Stadium- Saturday 4:35pm

The Giants suffered one of the shocks of the season last round when they went down to St Kilda 23 points while the Magpies have lost three of their past four including last week's 23-point loss to cellar-dwellers Carlton.

Despite their ladder differences Collingwood has won its past five against the Giants. Collingwood knows how to win this one and under immense pressure should make it six.

Why the Magpies will win:

Taylor Adams. The twenty-three year old mid-fielder is averaging 30 disposals and 15 kicks per game. If the boys in black and white are able to play through him then a massive upset will be on the cards.

Our tip: Magpies by 9

Essendon Bombers vs Geelong Cats@ MCG - Saturday 7:25pm

Last round Essendon lost by 37 to Fremantle while the Gold Coast caused a massive upset to beat Geelong by 25. The Cats are equal second while somehow (credit to the Bombers) sit just one win out of the eight.

Geelong have won their past five against Essendon by an average of 40 points and there is nothing to suggest this game will be different.

Why the Cats will win:

They’ll be desperate to rectify last week’s disappointing loss to the Suns. Geelong’s dominating history over the Bombers all point towards the Cats mauling the Bombers.

Our tip: Cats by 34

Adelaide Crowes vs Melbourne Demons @Adelaide Oval- Saturday-7:40pm

Adelaide sit first but were last week smashed by North Melbourne to the tune of 59 points. Melbourne comes in only one win out of the eight but have lost four of their past five games. Adelaide has won their past two against Melbourne.

Both teams are battling fairy sizeable injury lists.

Why the Crowes will win:

They are outright first on the ladder and have suffered only one loss all season. The Crowes have threats all over the park with Eddie Betts and Taylor Walker having 23 and 19 goals this campaign respectively. Rory Sloane is averaging 28 possessions a game whilst Rory Laird is getting nearly 15 kicks. If they play how they do normally then it's theirs to lose.

Our tip: Crowes by 40

Richmond Tigers vs Fremantle Dockers @MCG- Sunday 1:10pm

The Tigers sit sixth while the Dockers sit equal seventh. The Tigers lost a thriller to the Bulldogs last round by 5 while Fremantle jagged a 37-point win over the Bombers. The two teams have split their last four meetings with two wins a piece.

Why the Tigers will win:

The twenty-eight year old veteran Jack Riewoldt. He has 20 goals and can still be a game changer as he has shown throughout his career. If he plays his game to its fullest on then the Tigers should be able to get the win.

Our tip: Tigers by 12

Gold Coast Suns vs Port Adelaide Power @ Jiangwan Sports Stadium- Sunday 1:15pm

Who knows how playing in another country will affect these two teams? One thing for certain is the winner could enter the top eight.

The Gold Coast last week caused a massive upset over Geelong with a 25-point win while Port Adelaide fell victim to West Coast. This should be an exciting game played before a sell-out crowd.

Why the Suns will win:

Rodney Eade was quoted during the week stating the Suns will do some recovery pool sessions at Singapore Airport during their stop over. This is a master stroke for Eade. The Suns will also be buoyed by their massive last-start win over Geelong.

Our tip: Suns by 13

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Sydney Swans @Etihad Stadium- Sunday 4:40pm

North Melbourne destroyed the previously undefeated Crowes by 59 last week while Sydney finally broke through for their first win of the season beating the Lions by 54.

Look out for Ben Brown who has 19 goals this season. He’ll be a real threat up front for the Kangaroos. Likewise for the Swans look out for Lance Franklin. He booted eight last week against the Lions.

Why the Swans will win:

They finally look like they are hitting their straps with a finals dream still beating strong. If Franklin plays anything like he did last game then the Swans will double their win tally for the year.

Our tip: Swans by 18
