He might not have won gold for badminton at the Olympics - but Sawan Serasinghe was determined to take home something from Rio 2016...even if it was just high cholesterol!
After he and doubles partner Matthew Chau crashed out of the men's doubles against China's Chia Hsin and Shen Mu Lee – following two other straight losses against Russia and North Korea – Serasinghe rewarded himself with a gold medal-quality feast form Maccas.
He posted a pic on Instagram to reveal the full extent of his 7500 calorie heartbuster – that's around 30,000 kilojoules, more than three times the recommended daily energy boost.

The haul - grabbed for free from the McDonalds in the Olympic Village - included a Big Mac, two McChicken sandwiches, a quarterpounder with cheese, two hamburgers, 40 chicken McNuggets, six large fries, a smoothie and a bottle of water because, you know, a Coke might be seen as unhealthy for an Olympic athlete...
He added: "Now it's time to eat some junk food after months of eating clean!"
The 22 year old Sri Lankan-born Aussies - studying business information services at Monash University - is at his first Olympics and, together with doubles partner Chau, they went into the Games ranked 46th in the world.
His rank – and abs – may not be the same after his Brazilian Maccas churrasco though!
UPDATE: The Kiwis were following in his footsteps soon after...
