Manly coach Trent Barrett has handed in his resignation and will leave the club at the end of the season, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph has stated that Barrett will walk at the end of the 2018 season because of the club's lack of resources.
The Sea Eagles are sitting in 12th spot on the NRL table and are battling to avoid the wooden spoon.
Barrett is contracted to the club until the end of 2020, but has reportedly had enough.
"He has quit,” Paul Kent said on NRL 360.
“He will quit at the end of the season, so there’s three games left for Trent Barrett at Manly.
"The story over the weekend that he’d sent a letter to the Manly Sea Eagles saying if they don’t come into play with a couple of promises that they’d made when he extended his deal last year, that he would look at resigning, in fact it was a resignation and it’s going to be taken into account and dealt with over the off-season.”
