James Brayshaw won’t be part of the Footy Show team in 2017 after being dumped from the role.
The North Melbourne chairman hosted the program after former host Garry Lyon stood down for personal reasons.
It is believed contract negotiations broke down between Brayshaw and the network after his demands were reportedly deemed to steep to match.
He will be replaced by Craig Hutchison who hosts The Sunday Footy Show.
“We are delighted to welcome Craig to the co-hosting chair on The Footy Show. He is a first-class media performer and businessman with a proven track record in breaking some of the biggest AFL stories in history,” Channel Nine Melbourne’s Managing Director Ian Paterson said in a statement.
“He will be a terrific addition to the program alongside Rebecca.
“We thank James Brayshaw for his contribution for the past 11 years to The Footy Show and the network. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”
