Luke Brooks has agreed to a two-year $1.1 million deal to stay at the Wests Tigers giving the embattled club some stability.
His halves partner Mitchell Moses is yet to recommit and is considering an offer from Parramatta – Wests offered him a three-year deal, but he is expected to leave the Tigers.
New coach Ivan Cleary approved Brooks' contract worth $550,000 a season.
Brooks, one of the so-called ‘Big Four’, is the first to commit with Aaron Woods, James Tedesco and Moses are all unsigned for 2018.
Tedesco has reportedly been offered a four-year extension worth $4.5 million.
The Bulldogs are reportedly set to offer Woods around $1 million a season.
