Bulldogs discard Tony Williams has signed a one-year deal with Cronulla.
The 27-year-old was let go by Canterbury following an ordinary four years at Belmore.
With little interest in him, the Sharks are believed to have secured him at cost price.
Williams won the 2011 premiership with Manly and represented Australia and NSW early in his career, but failed to recapture his form while at the Bulldogs.
He was dropped to reserve grade this year.
Signing a short-term small-money deal could inspire the 193cm/ 120kg wrecking ball to fire once again in the hope of extending his career.
