The Bulldogs are expected to table an offer to embattled NRL star Kieran Foran today (Thursday).
Canterbury reportedly met with Foran this week and are in the process of putting a deal together.
Foran was linked to the Warriors after making a verbal commitment to CEO Jim Doyle, however, the Bulldogs offer is believed to be far superior and would allow the 25-year-old to stay in Sydney near his children.
The Warriors can only offer Foran about $600,000 for 2017, far less than the $1.2 million he was set to earn at the Eels this season before being released from his four-year $4.8 million contract for personal issues.
Foran has close ties to Canterbury coach Des Hasler after spending three years under the mentor at Manly which included the 2011 NRL Premiership.
