Des Hasler is set for a sensational return to the Manly Sea Eagles as coach for 2019.
According to reports, Manly are expected to name Hasler as their new head coach.
The club have been on the hunt for a new boss for several months with Trent Barrett stepping down.
Michael Maguire and Jason Taylor have passed on the job, while the likes of Neil Henry and John Cartwright have been linked with the Sea Eagles.
But former Manly player and coach Hasler, who quit the club in 2011 to join the Bulldogs, is set to return to Brookvale.
The 57-year-old led the Sea Eagles to three grand finals, with wins in 2008 and 2011.
But he walked out on the club after the 2011 decider after falling out with the Penn family, owners of Manly.
Reportedly, Hasler has made up with the Penns and has agreed to come back to the northern beaches.
