Money will be provided for Robinson’s two children Kiara, 15, and Cooper, 11, to help with their schooling.

The Eels and Roosters have joined forces in the fundraising and awareness initiative ahead of their round 10 game.

Roosters board member and former teammate Luke Ricketson trumpeted the efforts for his old mate in helping the futures of Kiara and Cooper.

“The loss of Chad has certainly been felt by everyone at the Roosters and Eels, as well as the broader rugby league community, and this is one small way we can help his family, especially Kiara and Cooper, at this very difficult time,” Ricketson said.

Eels under-20s coach and former teammate Luke Burt said it was imperative Robinson’s children and his family are helped as much as possible.

“Chad was a good friend to many of us and we want to make sure Kiara and Cooper know they have a wider family who want to help and support them,” Burt said.

The 36-year-old former NRL player’s body was found in Kenthurst after going missing weeks prior.
