Robbie Farah’s controversial season has suffered another blow after the NSW hooker missed Wednesday’s training with a calf injury.
The 32-year-old was named NSW Cup for the second week in a row after Tigers coach Jason Taylor sensationally dropped him for their last round clash with the Dragons.
“I spoke to him this morning. He’s in high spirits and he’s looking forward to playing this weekend. That’s as far as I know,” teammate Jordan Rankin said after training.
Rankin was Farah’s replacement in last week’s win over St George Illawarra.
Usually a fullback or winger, Rankin said Taylor’s instructions were clear.
“Obviously it’s a new thing thrust upon me last weekend during the game,” he said.
“It was just do whatever the halves wanted, and I just gave it to them.
“It’s pretty plain and simple for me.” Rankin said he didn’t know about his new role until during the game.”
