He will face the Rugby League World Cup judiciary at a hearing on Wednesday night.

The match review panel reviewed footage during England’s 29-10 win over Lebanon in Sydney on Saturday night and subsequently handed down the charge.

Farah alleged he was bitten by McGillvary in the 49th-minute which led to a scuffle between the pair.

“He bit me,” Farah was overheard immediately telling the referee.

"You don't bite mate!," Farah said pointing to the alleged bite marks.

"I didn’t bite myself!"

If found guilty, McGillvary could miss the rest of the World Cup.
