Laurie Daley has praised Robbie Farah’s response to his Origin snub after the former Blues vice captain was omitted for Nathan Peats.
Farah, a veteran of 16 Origins, has displayed indifferent form for new club South Sydney of late, coming off the bench in several matches.
He was in a three-way race for the NSW hooking role with Peats and Penrith’s Peter Wallace.
Wallace was rubbed out after suffering a groin injury during Saturday’s victory over the Knights and will be sidelined for up to eight weeks.
Daley said Farah was all class when the coach called him to give him the news.
"He was disappointed but totally supportive," Daley said on Monday night.
"The thing I love about Robbie is he said ‘mate can you just pass on my regards to the boys and make sure they know I’m 100% behind them’.
"That’s the type of bloke he is and that’s the type of message he sent to the team."
