Boxing legend Jeff Fenech says Anthony Mundine could be seriously injured if he steps in the ring with Danny Green for their much-anticipated rematch.
Fenech, a three-time world champion, believes the weight disparity between the pair could spell doom for Mundine.
Mundine is likely to weigh about 80kg with Green to enter the bout at around 90kg.
In 2006 the pair fought at 76.2kg which was won by Mundine on points via unanimous decision.
"If Danny Green hits him with a very clean punch, Anthony could face a serious health problem," Fenech told Sky Sports Radio on Wednesday.
"I believe that the fight shouldn't be allowed to go ahead. Forget the money.
"As a spectacle, I think it's going to be terrible.
"He's (Mundine) been knocked down six or eight times in his last three times against guys who weigh 65-67kg, 70kg.
"Danny Green is going to weigh 90 on the night.
"It shouldn't be allowed."
About 40,000 people are expected to witness the fight at Adelaide Oval on February 3 next year.
