Kieran Foran’s return date to the NRL is uncertain with the star unlikely to be ready for the Warriors’ round one clash against the Knights in Auckland on March 5.
It is understood the NRL are still are yet to be satisfied with his recovery both on and off the field.
Foran was released by Parramatta in early 2016 for personal issues, just a handful of games into a four-year $4.8 million deal.
The New Zealand international has been training with the Warriors but a deal is yet to be signed off by the NRL.
Foran continues to recover from a shoulder injury and has so far not commenced full-contact training.
Warriors chief Jim Doyle says he is confident Foran will play for the club but is unsure of a start date adding the five-eighth’s mental state was steadily improving.
