Hardman Angus Cottrell has re-signed with the Western Force until the end of 2018.
The backrower has been one of his side’s most consistent forwards this season missing just one game.
He debuted in 2012 and has gone on to earn more than 50 Super Rugby Caps.
The 25-year-old said he was ecstatic to have agreed to terms with the Perth club for another two years.
“I’m very excited to sign with the Force for another two years,” he said.
“As I’ve said in the past Perth, is my home for rugby and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
“As a team last season we didn’t finish where we wanted to so I’m looking forward to helping us pick up some more wins."
Western Force interim coach Dave Wessels said he expected Cottrell to take his game to the next level in 2017 and beyond.
“Gussy is developing as a strong leader within our group and he brings a lot to the team both on and off the field,” he said.
“Over the last 12 months he’s also built a consistency to his performances at both blindside and No.8.”
