Bulldogs legends are calling for the coach’s head after poor recent form which has seen the side win just one from its past eight matches including a 36-0 last round drubbing to Manly.

Hasler is contracted until the end of this season and is desperate to remain at Belmore.

"We're working through that and hopefully have it ratified pretty soon," Hasler said.

"The board have been really supportive over my tenure. We're very well resourced here. We've just got to win some footy games.

"I've been here five years and put a lot of hard work, as have others, into the club. And built quite a good outfit here. I definitely want to stay here."

The Bulldogs board meet Thursday to discuss Hasler’s fate just hours before Canterbury host the high-flying Broncos.

"It's not an issue," he said of the meeting's close proximity to kick-off.

"It's pretty well removed.

"It's not going to have any impact on the 34 players who go out there and play on Thursday night."
