Valentine Holmes is set to depart the NRL and chase his dream of trying to crack the NFL.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Holmes wants to exit his NRL club the Cronulla Sharks immediately to try his hand in the NFL.
Holmes is contracted to the Sharks until the end of 2019.
In 2016 the winger trialed in front of NFL agents in the United States.
Holmes is expected to meet with Sharks officials in the next few days to determine his future.
The flyer has scored 66 tries in 105 NRL appearances.
Only 23, the outside back has already won an NRL Premiership, a World Cup, scored 17 tries in 13 Tests for Australia and eight tries in five matches for Queensland.
