Retired Manly skipper Jamie Lyon is set to put on the boots and play on in 2017.
The 34-year-old two-time NRL Premiership-winner is in discussions with the Super Roos based out of Jamberoo on the NSW South Coast.
Lyon has close links to Roos coach and former Dragon Jason Hooper, with the pair striking up a close friendship while sharing an apartment during their stints at St Helens in the Super League.
It would not be the first time Lyon played bush footy with the centre famously walking out on Parramatta in 2004 to return to his junior club Wee Waa.
Lyon is believed to be looking at property near Jamberoo with the town buzzing at the prospect of having the former NSW and Australian representative run out for its team.
