David Wall will make his debut as a Nissan driver later this year in the PIRTEK Enduro Cup as he lines up alongside Rick Kelly in the Sengled Racing Nissan Altima.

While no longer a full-time driver the Supercars Championship, Wall has proven a valuable co-driver asset in the enduros. Last year he helped Scott McLaughlin to third overall in last year’s PIRTEK Enduro Cup.

Wall is already familiar with the Nissan team, having sampled the Altima at the pre-season test day.

"It’s great to be joining Nissan Motorsport for the enduros this year,” Wall said. “I had a good campaign last year, and I always thought that Rick and I would be a good combination.”

Rick Kelly is enthusiastic about teaming up with Wall, and even hopes to learn from his new co-driver. “Every time you pair up with another driver,” Kelly said, “whether it be a team-mate or as a co-driver, you get the opportunity to see how someone else goes about the same job. I’m looking forward to learning from him and seeing how he goes about it.”

New Nissan recruit, and the first full-time female driver in the championship since Christine Gibson 41 years ago, Simona de Silvestro will be joined by the experienced David Russell, who will be making his seventh enduro campaign with the Kelly/Nissan team.

“It’s going to be great to share the car with David,” said de Silvestro. “Overall, he has had more seat time in the Altima than me, so that experience will be really useful. Hopefully we can be pretty competitive and share in some good results.”

As announced earlier, Todd Kelly will be partnered by Jack le Brocq in the carsales Racing Altima. Le Brocq this year becomes the first driver to race a Nissan in the second-division Dunlop Super2 Series, and will also be seen at selected Supercar championship races as a wildcard entry.

Meanwhile in the fourth factory Nissan, Michael Caruso continues his enduro partnership with Dean Fiore, who has signed on to share the Caruso Altima for what will be a fourth successive year.
