The Titans have been dealt a massive blow with hooker Nathan Peats to be sidelined for up to eight weeks with a dislocated shoulder.
The news comes just a week out from the season-opener with Peats’ 2016 form having many touting him as an Origin bolter.
Peats had the option to undergo surgery, however, doing so would have put him out for the season.
Peats joined the Gold Coast last year as a marquee signing after being released from Parramatta early in the season on the back of their salary cap dramas.
The 26-year-old will commence intensive rehabilitation as the club aims to get him back on the field as soon as possible.
