One player has been sacked and another fined after both Parramatta Eels stars failed their second drug test.
Tony Williams was this morning axed by the Eels and banned for 12 weeks by the NRL over the second failed test.
But Nathan Davis has been kept on by the club despite also failing his second drugs test, the club admitted.
"Following a second contravention of the NRL Testing Policy for illicit & hazardous drugs, the Parramatta National Rugby League Club Pty Limited has imposed a substantial fine on Nathan Davis," the club said in a midday statement.
"In addition, the NRL has suspended Nathan Davis for 12 weeks in accordance with the Policy.
The club said it would continue to offer welfare assistance and support to both players.
