Mitchell Pearce is set to join the Knights on a massive $4 million deal.
Pearce was being courted by Manly and Cronulla who have lost out on the former Rooster’s services.
The Daily Telegraph reports the deal is all but done with confirmation expected as early as today.
The four-year deal comes after Pearce’s release from the Roosters following the signing of Kangaroos and Maroons star Cooper Cronk.
Manly will be disappointed after releasing five-eighth Blake Green to the Warriors.
The Sea Eagles had hoped to lure Pearce north of the bridge to form a formidable halves pairing with Daly Cherry-Evans.
They now appear to be without an accomplished five-eighth with sole playmaking responsibilities to now sit with Cherry-Evans who relished alongside Green in 2017 after struggling for form the previous season in the absence of Kieran Foran.
More to come.
