Roosters recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan has been banned indefinitely for, among other things, links to notorious gambler Eddie Hayson.
It has been revealed Hayson deposited more than $700,000 in to O’Sullivan’s TAB account over a number of years, although he denied getting any financial gain from the arrangement.
The NRL suspended him in August and have since deemed he wasn’t a fit and proper person for registration following an investigation.
It has been revealed O'Sullivan failed to disclose third-party payments to players and deliberately concealed the full amount paid to two players.
O'Sullivan was employed at the Melbourne Storm during the salary cap controversy but was not sanctioned by the NRL on the advice of lawyers.
O'Sullivan is considered one of the best spotters in the game after recruiting Greg Inglis and Israel Folau as well as new star Latrell Mitchell who he brought to the Roosters.
O'Sullivan is expected to appeal the decision.
