The Sydney Roosters have suspended recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan in relation to links with Eddie Hayson discovered in the NRL's ongoing betting investigation.
The NRL advised the club it was investigating whether he is a fit and proper person for registration.
The Roosters have released the following statement:
"Sydney Roosters CEO, Mr John Lee, confirmed that a club employee is suspended. This is following the receipt of a notice from the NRL.
"Mr Lee indicated that the employee will be afforded procedural fairness while this matter is being dealt with. He also stated that the matter is subject to an appeal process.
"The club will be making no further comment at this time."
