Tennis star Maria Sharapova will today learn the fate of her appeal against her two-year doping ban.
Sharapova tested positive to the medication meldonium during this year’s Australian Open with the result revealed in March.
Sharapova was hoping to have the matter resolved in time to compete at the Rio Olympics.
The drug was added to the banned list on January 1 this year with the 29-year-old taking the medication for a decade to treat a heart issue and magnesium deficiency.
