Melbourne’s Tohu Harris is expecting a Raiders attacking onslaught in Saturday night’s grand final-qualifier at AAMI Park.
The Raiders boast the best attack in the league which is sure to worry the perennial arm-wrestlers who would love nothing more than an 80-minute grind.
The Victorians are brilliant at slowing the play-the-ball and setting the pace of matches but if Canberra are given time and space, it could be lights out for the hosts.
Harris said strong defence and inhibiting line speed was key to victory against a red-hot Green Machine chasing its first premiership since 1994.
“We have to prepare as much as we can and make sure we get out there and be aggressive and make our tackles,” he said.
“We know what is going to turn up on Saturday night and they are going to be aggressive defensively and hard to handle in attack.
“They have a lot of big bodies that run hard and break a lot of tackles so it is going to be a huge challenge.
“They have great line speed and are hard to handle with the ball.”
