Only four teams remain in the chase to be the Super Rugby champions of 2015. With two sides left from Australia and two remaining from New Zealand, there is every chance that rugby fans could witness an all-Kiwi, an all-Aussie, or a Trans Tasman match-up in the final.

The first semi-final pits the highest ranked playoff team against the lowest. The Hurricanes will be hosting the ACT Brumbies at a packed house in Wellington. After a week off, the minor premiers will be fresh and hungry, as they seek to fend off a tough challenge from the boys from Canberra. The ACT Brumbies finished one game short of last year's grand final after they were run down by eventual winners the Waratahs. They'll be running on a lot of confidence, hoping to go one better as they head down to New Zealand's North Island after their dominant victory in South Africa against the Stormers.

After gaining a vital week off, the rested NSW Waratahs will be aspiring to win their second consecutive championship. Before they can turn their attentions towards that goal, however, they will need to fend off the challenging Highlanders following their victory over Kiwi rivals the Chiefs. The Highlanders actually finished with a better record than their semi-final opponents, but with the competition format based on rewarding conference winners, their second-best record saw them ultimately place fourth.
