Farah’s Rabbitohs host Wests in what is expected to be a fiery clash in the NSW hooker’s NRL debut for South Sydney.

The 32-year-old was pushed out of the Tigers by Taylor last year after he was dropped to reserve grade mid-season.

He played 247 games for Wests and helped them to the 2005 Premiership.

There is no love lost between the pair, but Taylor reckons Farah will not get any extra motivation despite his perceived shafting by the club he gave 12 season of service to.

“No, I don’t think that anyone gets any more fired up for any game, in particular Round 1,” Taylor said.

“It’s Round 1, everyone’s had a big pre-season, so every player out on that field will be giving everything they’ve got.

“You can’t got to another level just because who you are playing, particularly in a Round 1 game.”

Taylor said he expected Farah to have a strong season at his new club.

“I thought he played really strongly in the charity shield and it looks like the change has been good for Robbie,” he said.

“I am sure he’ll play well and I am sure he is going to have a good season, so, good luck.”
