Sam Thaiday, take a bow.
The enigmatic Broncos forward's famous sense of humour was on show on Tuesday when he took a classic shot at Jarryd Hayne ahead of his side’s sudden-death semi-final clash against the Titans on Friday night.
When quizzed about Hayne’s on-field attributes that make him, when at his best, one of the most damaging players in the game, Thaiday produced a zinger of epic proportions.
“He’s always a player that you have to watch, but there’s no guarantee of him playing,” Thaiday said of the two-time Dally M Medal winner.
“He might have a dream tomorrow night and leave the game again, take up water polo or something. Who knows?”

Hayne famously left the NRL at the end of 2014 in search of his NFL dream which he brought to life with eight appearances for the San Francisco 49ers in 2015.
The 28-year-old left the US before the start of the 2016 season in an attempt to make the Fiji Olympic Sevens team for Rio.
He was eventually cut from the Olympic squad and returned to the NRL last month after signing with the Gold Coast.
Friday night’s match against Brisbane will be Hayne’s first finals fixture in seven years.
